授業概要		The f first aim of this course is to introduce graduate students to the teaching and study of two of the main modes of essay writing taught in what some theorists call the “ current traditional style in high school and university ESL and EFL composition classes today: expository essays, represented by the compare and contrast and cause and effect forms , and argumentative essays. My second, not so superficial aim is to help you come to grips with rival theoretical perspectives on the problems of teaching and learning writing composition in a second or foreign language (or L2 writing).
